- Deep Azure platform expertise (App Service, Functions, Storage, API Management, Key Vault, Logic Apps).
- Proven SRE experience: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, on-call and incident management.
- IaC and automation with Terraform and Azure DevOps; scripting with Bash (Python/Terragrunt a plus).
- Observability and monitoring: Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Datadog, distributed tracing, structured logging.
- Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, AKS.
- Database experience: Azure SQL, Redis, Cosmos DB.
- Networking and security: Azure Front Door, WAF, Azure Firewall, VNets, Cloudflare.
- .NET/.NET Core troubleshooting and performance optimization experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate scalable, highly available Azure infrastructure and multi-region architectures.
- Define and track SLIs/SLOs and error budgets; build self-healing systems and implement chaos engineering practices.
- Design and maintain observability (metrics, logging, tracing) and alerting systems; participate in on-call rotations.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Azure DevOps; automate operational tasks to remove toil.
- Conduct performance analysis, capacity planning, and implement auto-scaling and resource optimizations.
- Integrate security controls into cloud architecture and CI/CD pipelines; maintain cloud security posture and governance.
- Lead incident response, runbooks, blameless post-mortems, and automated remediation workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones and mentor engineers on SRE and infrastructure best practices.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, CKA).
