Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes ensuring accurate financial results
- Prepare and present financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage annual external audit and compliance filings including Form 990
- Oversee financial reporting for grants and restricted funds
- Lead accounting operations including banking, cash management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll review
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and scalable workflows
- Design and maintain internal financial controls and risk mitigation strategies
- Optimize and administer accounting systems with data governance
- Lead and mentor a 2-person accounting team fostering high morale and growth opportunities
Education
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
