Billing Specialist
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- Prior billing or accounts receivable experience preferred
- Background in financial services or investment operations preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of portfolio accounting and client performance reporting
- High proficiency with MS Office (Excel) and strong systems/process orientation
- Experience with integrated financial systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships across departments
- Experience with Salesforce and Envestnet preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly billing audits, fee billing analysis and troubleshooting of client accounts
- Review accounts and households to confirm appropriate fee schedules are assigned
- Prepare, review and submit client billing files for processing
- Review direct debit results and follow up to ensure timely fee collections
- Research and assist in collection of uncollected items and reconcile discrepancies
- Analyze billing data and collaborate with Finance & Accounting for accurate revenue recognition
- Respond to billing inquiries from Client Service teams and other internal stakeholders
- Perform month-end and ad hoc billing analyses as required
- Coordinate with trading and client service teams to ensure cash availability for direct debit
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (required)
- Relevant professional certifications or coursework in accounting/finance (preferred)
