Skills
- Proficient in SQL and Python (pandas, requests, boto3) for data manipulation and validation.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Trino) and cloud storage patterns.
- Familiarity with secure data transfer methods (SFTP, REST APIs, S3).
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data, claims, diagnosis codes, and population health concepts.
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and dimensional modeling/OLAP design.
- Comfortable using JIRA or ticketing systems and Microsoft Office/Teams suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication and client-facing consulting skills.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary client contact for onboarding, production support, and analytics strategy.
- Gather and document detailed business requirements in client-facing sessions.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and data requirements.
- Recommend and design metrics, dimensions, and OLAP cube structures for payer and provider use cases.
- Guide secure data ingestion via SFTP, REST APIs, and AWS S3 and coordinate data landing in cloud platforms.
- Join, reconcile, and trace lineage across disparate datasets to ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with engineering to develop/maintain Python scripts for validation, transformation, and automation.
- Support dashboard/report development and exploratory data analysis using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot data issues, and coordinate cross-team resolutions.
- Drive internal improvements to onboarding processes, data quality, and client satisfaction.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Relevant coursework or experience in healthcare, data analytics, computer science, or related field preferred.
