You have strong experience with PL/pgSQL, writing efficient SQL queries, tuning performance, and building ETL workflows. You’re comfortable working with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL and navigating complex data structures to support data integration, transformation, and analytics.

As a Senior Database Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining robust database solutions to support client onboarding, reward processing, data quality, and operational performance. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including developers, QA, analysts, and DBAs—to ensure data pipelines and queries are optimized, secure, and support the evolving needs of our clients and marketing platforms.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Develop and maintain import and extract processes for internal and client-facing systems
  • Contribute to data discovery, mapping, and migration efforts to support new client onboarding
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and performance issues in collaboration with engineering and QA teams
  • Tune queries, indexes, and procedures to ensure optimal performance across batch and real-time systems
  • Support data integration from multiple sources including clients, partners, internal tools, and analytics platforms
  • Provide technical support to report developers, data testers, and stakeholders across the business
  • Participate in a collaborative DevOps environment, working closely with developers, QA, and DBAs across environments

What You Need to Be Successful
  • 5–7+ years of experience designing and maintaining SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions
  • Strong experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database
  • Experience tuning SQL for performance, particularly in large-scale, high-volume environments
  • Familiarity with ETL development, data migration strategies, and real-time/batch data movement
  • Solid understanding of data security, particularly in PCI-compliant or regulated environments
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team, managing priorities across concurrent projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with data mapping, profiling, or discovery tools
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or other modern cloud data platforms
  • Experience with job scheduling and automation (e.g., Cron, Automate Schedule)
  • Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket or other version control systems
  • Experience working alongside or supporting Java-based development teams
