Title and Summary

Director, Product Management - Technical

The Role

The Director of Product Management - Technical for the Operations Automation program is a leadership role focused on delivering resilient, high-speed, and trusted infrastructure through self-service automation and standardized managed services. This role blends strategic product ownership with program execution excellence to remove operational bottlenecks and foster autonomous infrastructure delivery. You will lead a global organization that defines and executes transformative initiatives, optimizing operating mechanisms and enhancing the developer experience across Mastercard’s infrastructure automation platform.

In This Role You Will
• Own the 3–5 year vision for infrastructure automation platforms and multi-year program roadmaps, making strategic trade-offs to balance innovation, scalability, and business impact.
• Lead large-scale, enterprise-wide initiatives that solve complex operational challenges and deliver measurable outcomes in infrastructure automation.
• Define and evolve product and program strategies in ambiguous domains, bringing clarity and simplicity to complexity.
• Set and manage scorecards and KPIs to monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and raise the delivery bar across engineering and product teams.
• Optimize architectural and organizational structures to remove inefficiencies and enable long-term success.
• Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and innovation to solve core infrastructure and developer productivity needs.
• Build strong internal customer relationships and engagement models to ensure delivery aligns with expectations.
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership, including division presidents and executive committees.
• Advocate for department resources and plan for future capability needs.

All About You
• You are a leader with experience in both technical product management and delivery, especially in infrastructure domains.
• You thrive in ambiguity and are skilled at defining outcomes and blazing new trails in complex environments.
• You are hands-on, data-driven, and close to the details of execution, setting the standard for engineering excellence.
• You have a strong technical foundation and business acumen, enabling you to assess risks and make informed decisions.
• You are passionate about developing talent and fostering a high-performance culture.
• You are a strategic thinker who can look ahead 1–3 years to drive architectural and organizational changes that persist beyond your direct involvement.
• You are a trusted communicator who can influence priorities and align cross-functional teams to coherent strategies.
• You are committed to innovation, simplification, and delivering value at scale—empowering engineers through automation and enhancing the developer experience.
