Inland Northwest Safety Manager: This is where you come in.

We're seeking an Inland Northwest Safety Manager to oversee safety audits and provide expert guidance at our Kennewick or Spokane sites. This role plays a critical part in administering our Safety Program to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. In return for driving impactful safety initiatives and meeting ambitious goals, you'll gain increased ownership, abundant growth opportunities, and a level of autonomy that sets this role apart.

Top deliverables in the first year to be a hero:

  • Promote MacDonald-Miller’s Safety Program at all times through various efforts – including while walking the jobsite, coordinating safety training programs, and creating and assembling site-specific safety manuals.
  • Coordinate, create, and present both safety and hygiene training.
  • Evaluate subcontractor paperwork, including filing L&I reports and calling subcontractors.

The Inland Northwest Safety Manager reports to Lee Pyfrom - Director of Safety on a collaborative team working on a variety of projects and initiatives to support our growing business. This highly visible role interacts with all levels and functions within the organization.

Your Background: What kind of person will thrive in this role?

You should have…

  • A 4-year degree in occupational safety/ health or equivalent combination of technical training and/ or industrial safety experience
  • The ability to recognize hazardous situations and suggest corrective measures
  • Proficient knowledge of WA OSHA regulations

Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 Annually

Our Spokane office at 421 N Freya St., Spokane, WA 99202 is surrounded by great spots to eat, unwind, and explore. Just a short drive from downtown, you can grab lunch at local favorites like No-Li Brewhouse, Wisconsinburger, or The Grain Shed, or enjoy coffee from nearby Ladder Coffee Roasters. For a quick escape outdoors, you’re close to scenic parks like Riverfront Park, Mission Park, and the Centennial Trail for walking or biking. When the workday wraps, catch a show at the Spokane Civic Theatre, cheer on the Spokane Indians at Avista Stadium, or explore the lively arts, music, and food scene that makes Spokane such a fun place to live and work.

Our Kennewick office (106010 E Wiser Pkwy, Suite B Kennewick WA 99338), is in the lovely Tri-Cities area. The Tri-Cities are a haven for recreation - the Snake, Yakima, and Columbia Rivers converge here, which makes this a popular destination for water sports like sailing, paddle-boarding, waterskiing, swimming, fishing, and kayaking. Not to mention the wineries, golf courses, shopping, and concerts!
