We are seeking a Community Marketing Manager as part of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) marketing team at the Linux Foundation. You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with community members and helping lead and execute initiatives that drive awareness of, engagement with, and contributions to the communities CNCF serves. It is ideal for someone with experience in open source, developer-first products, or enterprise software.
You will work cross-functionally with the global CNCF community, internal teams, event managers, and ecosystem partners to support the growth of CNCF-hosted projects and programs. This position is for a manager-level contributor who has helped define community and community oriented marketing engagement strategies, has experience with shared marketing or agency resources, and some budgeting experience. This role reports to the Head of Marketing at CNCF.
Responsibilities
Manages, fosters connections with, and becomes a trusted community advisor
Thoughtful point of contact engaging via Slack, conferences, monthly calls, and at events
Encourages the community to connect with and support each other
Captures, recognizes, and amplifies successes and stories from the community
Identifies opportunities for community, project and organizational program growth and efficiencies
Builds and implements multi-channel community marketing campaigns
Leads community meetings, driving engagement and participation
Drive promotion and engagement for CNCF events
Focus on cost reduction and maximizing value
Coordinate with external agencies and internal partners as needed
Program engagement and impact reporting
4-5 years of end user engagement, community marketing, or ecosystem development and marketing experience in an open source or enterprise software business
Exceptional relationship building, communication skills, stakeholder management, and cross-functional engagement
Must be familiar with the cloud native community
Experience writing and implementing multi-channel marketing campaigns
Ability to manage changing priorities and major challenges
Highly creative, composed, self-directed
Exemplary organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
Experience engaging with developers
Community events management and strategy
Adept at or holds Certifications in HubSpot: email marketing, digital marketing
Experience with Canva required; experience with Asana preferred
Ability to travel internationally
Salary $90,000 - 102,000 USD
