Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Pass and Seymour Team in Syracuse, NY.
What Will You Do?
- As a member of the finance department, this position has direct involvement and responsibilities in the process of budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial close.
- Provide assistance to all levels of management in understanding and interpreting financial results, budgets and related financial information and processes.
- Candidate will participate in all facets of the budgeting process, working with corporate staff to complete detailed budget in accordance with LNCA guidelines and time frame.
- Individual will collect and analyze data for monthly financial forecast, coordinating inputs and preparing forecast for review.
- Identifies trends and anomalies, examines further to identify drivers, prepares summary of findings for review by top financial staff.
- Individual will work with other members of the finance team to complete month-end close in a timely fashion.
- Review and analyze various business functions and help develop process improvement plans to increase efficiency and improve financial results.
- Assist with sales forecasting, daily sales reporting and other analytical support as needed.
- All aspects of FP&A (Budgeting, forecasting, understanding of actuals) for EWS Pass & Seymour business (~$600M business).
- Preparation and analysis of supplemental various month end schedule.
- Preparation, entry and review of monthly BPC financial reporting for Pass & Seymour.
- Analysis on financial reporting and reporting packages for monthly close.
- Assist in administration of Planful reporting tool for Pass & Seymour.
- Ad hoc reports and requests / Special Projects and multidivisional assistance.
- Performs other similar and related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
- BA in Finance or Accounting.
Experience:
- 1-5 years of experience in accounting and/or finance.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
- Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
- Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.
- Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Company specific accounting and finance software and systems a plus (BPC, Host Planful).
- Demonstrated ability to create effective reports, presentations, and business correspondence.
