Manager, Retirement Plan Administration, (RPCG)

RPCG, an operating partner of Strongpoint Partners, is a tech-enabled retirement services firm focused on delivering accurate, compliant retirement plan administration to small- and mid-sized businesses. RPCG seeks an experienced, motivated Retirement Administrator Manager to lead a team of plan consultants, manage a client portfolio, drive process improvements, and ensure high standards of service across operations, plan documents, and compliance.

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of 401(k) testing and compliance (ADP/ACP, 410(b), 415, Top Heavy, 401(a)(4))
  • Proven team leadership and people management skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and solid MS Office proficiency
  • Experience with retirement administration software (ASC preferred)
  • Customer service orientation and problem-solving ability

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of six Retirement Plan Administrators, driving development and accountability
  • Act as escalation point for complex client/issues and provide guidance to team members
  • Manage day-to-day client communications, workflows, project deadlines, and client retention
  • Perform and/or review annual testing (ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, 410(b), 415, 401(a)(4), 402(g), deductibility)
  • Prepare and validate valuation reports, participant statements, and Form 5500 filings
  • Collaborate with Operations, Participant/Client Support, Plan Documents, Distribution/Loan, and Payroll teams
  • Assist with IRS/DOL audits and support auditors as needed
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to operational and strategic initiatives

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience in retirement plan administration)
  • ASPPA and/or NIPA credentials preferred
  • Ongoing continuing education in ERISA, IRS and DOL rules encouraged
