Skills
- Deep experience designing and shipping large-scale personalization and ranking systems
- Strong system design for ML infrastructure and productionization
- Proficiency with modern ML architectures (two-tower, transformers, graph neural networks)
- Hands-on coding and model development (Python; PyTorch/TensorFlow or equivalent)
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions
- Proven stakeholder management and project delivery skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 3–5 ML engineers building personalization and recommendation systems
- Architect multi-stage ranking pipelines (retrieval → ranking → re-ranking) for large-scale production
- Define and drive the technical roadmap aligned to product and business goals
- Improve model quality, system reliability, and development velocity through best practices and tooling
- Establish model development, testing, and deployment standards (MLOps)
- Partner closely with product, data science, and engineering stakeholders to deliver features
- Contribute hands-on to critical model development and production code (approximately 50% coding)
Education
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
