Skills
- Production experience with ranking algorithms (collaborative filtering, learning-to-rank, deep learning)
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and data lakes
- Experience with distributed compute frameworks (Spark, Ray) and stream/batch processing (Beam, Dask)
- Familiarity with LLM/AI agent frameworks and applying ML to personalization
- Experience deploying systems serving 100M+ predictions daily
- A/B testing and experiment logging best practices
- Experience with ML experiment & model management tools (MLflow, W&B)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy ranking and recommendation models to serve real-time personalization at scale
- Own feature engineering, data pipelines, and model training/deployment workflows
- Deliver low-latency (<50ms) real-time personalization across key product surfaces
- Run statistically rigorous A/B tests and interpret results to measure business impact
- Optimize models and infrastructure for latency, throughput, cost, and durability
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and reliability practices for production models
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to scope and launch personalization features
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in relevant field preferred but not required
