Lead ML Engineer, Ad Performance
Skills
- 7+ years software development and ML engineering experience, including 3+ years on advertising systems
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with modern ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Familiarity with distributed data processing (Spark, Ray)
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
- Experience designing and running A/B experiments and measuring business impact
- Production deployment experience and model monitoring
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and scale advertising algorithms to optimize engagement and revenue
- Apply advanced ML approaches (reinforcement learning, deep learning for ranking) to ad decisioning
- Build and maintain real-time infrastructure for ad decisioning handling millions of requests per day
- Run rigorous experiments (A/B and multivariate tests) and measure model impact on business KPIs
- Improve ETL pipelines, feature pipelines, and model monitoring for reliable production delivery
- Collaborate across product, data, and engineering teams globally to launch high-impact ad features
- Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging ML/AI technologies when they provide competitive advantage
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field or equivalent experience
- Master’s or PhD in a relevant field preferred but not required
