Lead Machine Learning Engineer, Ad Performance
Skills
- 7+ years software development and ML engineering, including 3+ years on advertising systems
- Proficient in Python and SQL for model development and analysis
- Experience with TensorFlow and/or PyTorch for model building
- Familiarity with distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark or Ray
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) for deployment and infrastructure
- Background in recommendation systems, advertising algorithms, NLP, or computer vision
- Strong analytical problem-solving and metrics-driven decision making
- Experience designing and analyzing A/B and multivariate experiments
- Track record of shipping production ML systems and monitoring model performance
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deploy production-ready ML models and pipelines to improve ad targeting, relevance, and revenue.
- Build scalable infrastructure for real-time ad decisioning handling millions of requests per day.
- Apply cutting-edge approaches (e.g., RL, deep ranking models) to boost advertising KPIs.
- Develop and maintain ETL, feature stores, and model serving components to ensure reliable delivery.
- Run rigorous experimentation (A/B and multivariate tests) to quantify model impact on business metrics.
- Monitor model performance, data drift, and system health; iterate to maintain and improve results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, engineering, and analytics teams to launch ad features.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging ML technologies into the ad stack when they provide measurable advantage.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field preferred but not required
