Workday Business Analyst (remote)

Overview

Knowledge Services is seeking a remote Workday Business Analyst for a contract through the end of December 2025 (potential for extension) with the State of Maine Office of Technology.

  • Applicants are able to work 100% remotely (candidates must be located in the EST time zone)
  • Applicants MUST have experience with Workday as a Business Analyst
  • Applicants MUST have prior State or Federal government experience
  • Please note that we cannot accept any candidates requiring C2C or sponsorship for a work visa

Responsibilities

Workday Business Analyst Responsibilities:

• Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze, document, and formalize business processes into clear and concise SOPs.• Develop process maps, workflows, and narratives to capture end-to-end procedures.• Conduct interviews, workshops, and document reviews to gather requirements and validate process steps.• Ensure SOPs are aligned with policy, compliance, and operational needs, and formatted to meet organizational standards.• Maintain a version control system and manage updates or revisions as needed.• Translate technical and complex information into reader-friendly, step-by-step guidance for non-technical audiences.• Collaborate with QA, operations, and project teams to ensure SOPs are validated and implemented.• Assist with the creation of supporting materials, such as training guides, checklists, job aids, and FAQs.

Qualifications

Workday Business Analyst Required Skills:

• 3+ years of Workday experience• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining SOPs, process documentation, or procedural manuals.• Strong understanding of business process analysis, workflow modeling, and requirements gathering• Previous Local, State, and/or Federal government experience

 

Preferred:

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)• Experience with SharePoint, Confluence, or similar documentation repositories• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and clarity.• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple SOPs across different stakeholders and deadlines.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor's degree
