Wireless Solutions Architect (Remote - US)

This role offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of global connectivity by designing next-generation satellite and space communication networks. As a Wireless Solutions Architect, you will combine deep expertise in wireless systems, cellular protocols, and network architecture to develop scalable, high-performance communication infrastructures for non-terrestrial environments. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to adapt 4G/5G standards for use in orbital systems, solving unprecedented technical challenges in signal propagation, link optimization, and system reliability. The position offers a hybrid-remote work model based in the Greater Washington D.C. area.

Accountabilities:

• Design and implement high-performance wireless architectures for satellite and space-based communication systems.
• Translate terrestrial 4G/5G core network components (IMS, VoLTE, VoNR, AMF, SMF, UPF) into scalable, space-adapted infrastructures.
• Lead the design, integration, and optimization of voice, data, and messaging services delivered via satellite constellations.
• Address complex technical challenges related to orbital mechanics, link efficiency, and real-time handover management.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define interfaces between ground and space systems.
• Drive innovation and architectural excellence in the development of resilient communication solutions for critical global applications.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in wireless network architecture, systems engineering, or solution design.
• Deep expertise in wireless theory, cellular network architecture, and core network components (4G/5G).
• Proven track record in end-to-end design, prototyping, and deployment of large-scale wireless systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and creativity in applying wireless standards to unconventional environments.
• U.S. citizenship required; an active or eligible TS/SCI security clearance is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams.
