VP, Revenue Cycle Management (Remote - US)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Ovation Healthcare. We are currently looking for a VP, Revenue Cycle Management in United States.

As a senior leader, you will oversee revenue cycle operations across a multi-facility health system that includes hospitals, clinics, dialysis, behavioral health, and oncology services. This role requires deep expertise in New York State healthcare regulations, Medicaid reimbursement, and specialty billing. You will drive modernization initiatives, centralize operations into a scalable model, and partner with executives to align financial strategies with organizational goals. This is a mission-driven leadership opportunity where your work will directly impact access and sustainability for rural and underserved communities.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide enterprise-wide oversight of all revenue cycle functions including patient access, coding, billing, collections, denials, and revenue integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with New York State DOH and OMH billing guidelines, Article 28/31 regulations, Medicaid rate codes, and APG billing standards.
  • Lead technology modernization efforts across billing platforms, EHR, and RCM systems to improve automation, accuracy, and reporting.
  • Oversee complex reimbursement strategies for behavioral health, dialysis, and oncology, ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and 340B programs.
  • Implement data-driven performance management tools to monitor KPIs and proactively manage financial risk.
  • Drive centralization of revenue cycle functions into a high-performing Central Business Office (CBO).
  • Partner with finance leadership on payer contracting strategies and Value-Based Payment readiness.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a strong revenue cycle leadership team, fostering accountability and innovation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or Finance required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive revenue cycle leadership, with at least 5 years in New York State healthcare organizations.
  • Proven experience with CAHs, RHCs, Article 28 and 31 clinics, and specialty billing environments.
  • Strong expertise in NYS Medicaid, APG reimbursement, rate codes, DOH/OMH audits, and 340B program compliance.
  • Demonstrated success in enterprise-wide revenue cycle transformation, workforce centralization, and technology optimization.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and change management skills, with the ability to align diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in healthcare IT and RCM systems common in NYS settings (MEDITECH, Epic Community Connect, Athena, NextGen, CPSI, eClinicalWorks).
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 75%) across Upstate New York.
