This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VP, Product Management - Hedging and Trading (H&T) in the United States.

The VP of Product Management for Hedging & Trading (H&T) will lead the strategy, development, and delivery of advanced mortgage hedging and trading technology products. This role combines executive-level vision with hands-on leadership, managing multiple product lines, P&Ls, and cross-functional teams to ensure financial growth and market competitiveness. The VP will serve as a public-facing representative at industry events, engage with clients, and guide product strategy through deep market insights. By fostering innovation, mentoring high-performing teams, and driving product excellence, this leader ensures seamless execution from conception to market, maximizing impact on business outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and execute strategic product plans that drive innovation and market leadership in mortgage hedging and trading technology.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements, leveraging insights into mortgage pipeline hedging, loan sale execution, MBS securitization, and MSR valuation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to align product development with organizational strategy and customer needs.
  • Act as a product evangelist and marketer, presenting product initiatives to external stakeholders at industry events and client meetings.
  • Oversee product performance metrics, including retention, revenue, engagement, and trial-to-paid conversion rates, ensuring products meet or exceed expectations.
  • Manage multiple product development projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years in product development roles within mortgage capital markets technology, with at least 5 years in director-level or higher positions.
  • Advanced knowledge of mortgage-backed securities (MBS), secondary market trading, and hedging instruments (TBAs, options, swaps).
  • Proven track record of successful product launches and driving revenue growth in capital markets technology platforms.
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and financial analysis skills, including mark-to-market and pull-through analytics.
  • Exceptional project management, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills.

  • Competitive base salary: $200,000 – $300,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • Eligibility for profit-sharing bonus plan.
