Because here’s the remarkable truth: When we all make together, we make all things possible.

Let’s make.

Job Description

Cricut’s Software Product Management team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our flagship software, Design Space, that empowers millions of creators to bring their ideas to life. They will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and research teams to deliver intuitive, inspiring, and high-performing user experiences. This role will balance creative innovation with business impact, ensuring the platform continues to grow engagement and satisfaction across diverse user segments. The ideal candidate combines a passion for crafting with strong product instincts, data-driven decision-making, and a deep empathy for makers.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Product Manager, you are responsible for the following:

  • Define and drive the strategy for Cricut’s taxonomy, metadata, and content systems to support scalable discovery, personalization, and content management.
  • Build and evolve a unified classification framework across content types (images, fonts, projects, education).
  • Own and evolve the tools that power taxonomy, metadata tagging, content creation (via our Contributing Artist Program), and configuration management for scalable software behavior.
  • Advocate for taxonomy best practices and partner with engineering, user experience, data science, and the Creative Content team to integrate taxonomy and metadata across systems and user experiences.
  • Establish governance models and quality standards for taxonomy evolution, metadata integrity, and system-wide adoption.
  • Collaborate with search, personalization, and platform teams to ensure taxonomies directly enhance the Cricut product experience through discovery, recommendations, and engagement.
  • Identify structural gaps in taxonomy or metadata coverage through analytics and system audits, and define scalable solutions.
  • Partner with data teams to define metrics that assess the effectiveness of taxonomy and metadata in driving content engagement.
  • Leverage content performance and user behavior data to identify gaps and guide prioritization of taxonomy and system improvements.
  • Align with AI and user-generated content teams to create a seamless and thoughtful content ecosystem.

We are looking for leaders with a thirst for challenge and a passion for delighting members. You should be comfortable working with a high-caliber team and be motivated by a fast-paced working environment. We are looking for people who have a hunger to create new products and user experiences and who live our values.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with significant ownership of taxonomy, content systems, metadata infrastructure, and internal tooling.
  • Proven ability to design and scale classification frameworks and metadata systems that drive measurable improvements in content quality, discoverability, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience owning internal tooling and infrastructure that supports metadata tagging and taxonomy governance.
  • Strong systems thinker with a track record of solving complex architectural challenges across content pipelines, tooling, and user-facing experiences.
  • Deep understanding of taxonomy development, metadata modeling (e.g., schema.org, IPTC), CMS platforms, and content lifecycle workflows.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience partnering with engineering, data science, content strategy, and platform teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
  • Background in creative platforms, design tooling, marketplaces, or large-scale content ecosystems is a strong plus.
  • Passionate about helping users discover the right content—and building the internal systems that make it possible.
