Technical Program Manager (Remote - Us)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Technical Program Manager in the United States.

In this role, you will lead complex, high-visibility programs that involve global system upgrades and technical deployments, primarily serving federal government customers. You will manage both field resources and technical teams, ensuring successful project execution from planning through deployment. This position requires coordinating with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, timely results. You will be responsible for defining project scopes, allocating resources efficiently, and overseeing compliance, security clearances, and training for team members. The role involves both strategic oversight and hands-on management, making a direct impact on operational success and customer satisfaction. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with opportunities to lead innovative programs that support critical communications infrastructure.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and deployment of system upgrade programs across multiple federal government customers.
  • Manage field resource managers and technical teams to ensure smooth project execution and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to develop strategies, test plans, and ensure high-quality deployment performance.
  • Communicate project plans, updates, and risks to stakeholders, providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Oversee team compliance with security clearances, base access, and travel requirements.
  • Promote a positive culture that maximizes productivity, retention, and knowledge sharing.
  • Monitor budgets, timelines, and performance metrics for program success.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, Program Management, IT, Networking, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or technical program management, with a focus on resource management and technical deployments.
  • Experience with LMR, RF systems, networking equipment, wired/wireless communication systems, or military/government technical projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and adjust quickly to shifting demands.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining necessary security clearances for government contracts.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time. Preferred Skills:
    • Familiarity with Motorola Radio systems and equipment.
    • Experience defining business and technical requirements and managing cross-functional technical teams.
    • Knowledge of federal government operations, compliance standards, and technical system upgrades.

  • Competitive base salary: $130,000 - $150,000 USD.
