This role involves managing activities, resources, schedules, and budgets to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting federal programs, leading cross-functional teams, and improving program and process efficiencies.

You MUST possess an active Secret government clearance, or higher.

*** This will primarily be remote/work from home, with only some potential travel every now and then to a customer location. This may happen during the initial phases of a new project, just to become familiar with the customer environment, etc.

Salary: 130-140K (pending experience) Potential to be flexible on this.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage federal programs involving multiple functions and project teams focused on engineering development and implementation.
  • Oversee customer onboarding to managed service platforms and ensure a smooth transition into operational environments.
  • Develop schedules, budgets, critical deliverables, and resource allocation plans to support assigned programs.
  • Coordinate activities among internal teams and external development partners; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to meet objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with transition managers, engineering SMEs, and product and portfolio managers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and resolutions to stakeholders and senior leadership; implement corrective actions as required.
  • Guide and mentor less-experienced team members to promote growth and team effectiveness.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing federal projects or programs.
  • Proven background in engineering or product development environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead matrixed teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience developing and executing managed services project plans for federal clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or PMI certification.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with modern technologies and industry trends relevant to engineering and managed services.
