This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of SmartSource. We are currently looking for a Strategic Account Specialist in the United States.

This role offers a unique opportunity to support key strategic accounts in the veterinary and healthcare distribution space. As a Strategic Account Specialist, you will act as the main point of contact for designated customers, providing high-touch service and resolving inquiries with professionalism and care. You’ll work closely with multiple internal departments to ensure service excellence and long-term client satisfaction. If you’re a detail-oriented problem solver with strong communication skills and a passion for customer support, this is a role where you can make a measurable impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the daily liaison for strategic accounts, managing inbound inquiries via phone, email, and fax with responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Resolve shipment issues such as damaged or missing products, process returns, and issue credits as needed.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on products, pricing, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain organized records of customer interactions using the internal CRM system.
  • Investigate and analyze customer concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address client needs and ensure service delivery.
  • Complete special assignments as required to support strategic account activities.

  • High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred; experience in veterinary or clinical settings is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-first attitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with proficiency in Word and Outlook.
  • Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Capable of taking initiative and working both independently and within a team.
  • Adaptability to changes in work routines and responsibilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to manage information systematically.
