Sr. Director, Data Analytics (Remote - US)

This role offers a rare opportunity to lead the data analytics function for a fast-growing organization, shaping the way insights drive decision-making across product, finance, marketing, and member experience. You will build and scale a high-performing analytics team, standardize data practices, and design frameworks to tackle complex business questions. With full executive support, you’ll influence strategy, integrate advanced analytics, and implement best-in-class measurement practices. The role is ideal for a strategic, technically strong leader who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys mentoring teams, and is passionate about fostering a data-first culture. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that analytics drives both tactical and strategic outcomes.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and evolve analytics as a core function, translating complex business questions into actionable insights.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing analytics team with deep technical and business acumen.
  • Drive adoption of analytics best practices, from governance and experimentation to dashboards and tooling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives, deliver impactful insights, and guide decision-making.
  • Own and enhance the analytics stack to support scalable, reliable, and self-service analysis.
  • Standardize business metrics and data definitions to create clarity and alignment across the organization.
  • Integrate machine learning and advanced analytics to improve decision-making and business outcomes.
  • 12+ years of experience in analytics, data science, machine learning, or business intelligence, including 5+ years leading high-impact teams.
  • Proven ability to scale analytics functions in fast-moving, high-growth environments, ideally in fintech or adjacent industries.
  • Strong strategic mindset and technical depth, with experience in data pipelines, experimentation, dashboards, and business-facing analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with strong problem-solving, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL, Python, R, GCP, dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, BigQuery, and analytics/visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of making complex insights actionable and accessible.
  • Master’s or PhD in a relevant field preferred (Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science).
  • Experience in fintech, payments, credit, or banking is a plus.
