We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Quality Engineering Tech Lead to ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of complex back-end systems and SaaS platforms. This role combines technical leadership, strategic planning, and deep expertise in testing and automation. You will lead testing initiatives across cross-functional teams, influence product development, and implement best practices in quality engineering. With a focus on cloud-based systems, container orchestration, and Agile workflows, you will mentor team members, optimize testing processes, and contribute to high-impact product delivery. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans for back-end systems, SaaS platforms, and cloud-based services.
- Test and validate message queues, asynchronous processing, and data flow to ensure robust system performance.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines using Kubernetes and other container orchestration tools.
- Leverage Linux environments and command-line tools for troubleshooting and testing activities.
- Maintain test documentation, including test cases, plans, scripts, and reporting of defects in tracking systems such as Jira or DataDog.
- Mentor and coach other quality engineers, promoting best practices and professional growth.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, AI-driven testing tools, and industry standards to continuously enhance QA processes.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with a focus on fintech back-end systems and cloud-based SaaS platforms.
- Proficiency with message queue technologies (RabbitMQ, Kafka, AWS SQS, Redis Pub/Sub).
- Strong experience with Linux OS, command-line interfaces, and containerization (Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI) and test management tools (TestRail or equivalent).
- Expertise in SQL databases, back-end service validation, and API testing.
- Skilled in using automated testing frameworks such as Playwright and Pytest.
- Deep understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and issue tracking systems (Jira, DataDog).
- Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance workflows, test creation, or decision-making.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

- Knowledge of PCI compliance and security testing best practices.
- Experience with financial transaction processing or payment systems testing.
- Professional certifications in software testing or quality engineering (ISTQB, CSTE).
- Experience using AI for test case generation or reviews.
