As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust DevOps pipelines to support mission-critical applications across .NET, Java, and Node.js environments. You will drive automation, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD practices, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable deployments. This role involves collaborating closely with software engineers, security teams, and system administrators to integrate DevSecOps principles throughout the software delivery lifecycle. You will contribute to operational excellence, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously optimize pipelines while mentoring and supporting team members. The position offers a dynamic, remote-friendly environment and the opportunity to work on impactful projects in federal IT and cloud-based environments.

Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, GitHub/GitLab, and artifact repositories.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and manage configurations using Puppet across multiple environments.
• Implement static code analysis, unit testing, and security scans as part of the CI process.
• Provide operational support for production and pre-production environments, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers, system administrators, and security teams to embed DevSecOps best practices into software delivery.
• Continuously improve delivery processes and adopt industry-leading DevOps methodologies.
• Mentor and support team members on DevOps practices and pipeline management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure automation roles.
• Proficiency with Jenkins, Terraform, Puppet, and CI/CD design principles.
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting .NET, Java, and Node.js applications.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) and familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
• Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies and secure deployment practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Preferred: Federal or DoD clearance, AWS/Azure certifications, experience with FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 frameworks, federal consulting experience.
