This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a QA Automation Tech Lead in United States.

The QA Automation Tech Lead will drive the development and execution of automated testing strategies for both web and mobile applications, ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment. This role will lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, development, and architecture, and implement modern automation frameworks using tools such as Java, JavaScript, Playwright, and Cypress. The ideal candidate will bring technical leadership, a passion for automation, and a commitment to continuous process improvement, while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams. You will be instrumental in optimizing QA practices, accelerating test coverage, and ensuring software reliability at scale.

Accountabilities:

·         Lead the creation and execution of automated and manual test scripts, plans, and cases across web and mobile platforms.

·         Review user stories and business requirements, translating them into actionable test cases and automation scripts.

·         Utilize tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Perfecto, and BlazeMeter to test functionality, performance, and user experience.

·         Mentor and guide QA engineers, supporting career development and fostering a collaborative team environment.

·         Oversee full test lifecycle activities, including integration, performance, load, and user acceptance testing.

·         Coordinate automation testing across teams, ensuring alignment with CI/CD processes and Agile workflows.

·         Report testing progress, metrics, and risks to stakeholders, providing insights to improve software quality.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CSTAS) preferred.

·         9+ years of experience in test automation, including 4+ years delivering automated test scripts, plans, and cases.

·         Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript with experience in test automation frameworks.

·         Proficiency in automated testing tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Perfecto, and performance testing tools like JMeter or BlazeMeter.

·         Experience with SQL or equivalent database languages, able to write complex queries.

·         Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodology, BDD approaches, and SDLC best practices.

·         Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and enterprise development tools such as Maven, GitHub, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.

·         Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail.
