We are seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test with a focus on performance to join a fast-growing, remote-first team. In this role, you will design and execute large-scale performance tests, analyze system behavior under load, and work closely with development teams to optimize applications for scalability and reliability. You will develop tools, frameworks, and automation solutions to streamline testing and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication to report findings across cross-functional teams. • Accountabilities:
• Design, develop, and execute performance tests for data-intensive applications and streaming systems.
• Identify, analyze, and root-cause performance and scalability issues, collaborating with development teams on improvements.
• Develop automation frameworks, tools, and scripts using JS/TS/NodeJS, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Integrate performance testing into continuous testing systems, reporting metrics to stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call and off-hours support as required to ensure system reliability.
• Effectively communicate test plans, results, and recommendations to technical and non-technical teams.
• Mentor team members in performance engineering best practices and tooling.
• Requirements:
• 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on performance/scale testing.
• Proven expertise in designing and executing performance tests for data-intensive applications.
• Strong experience in identifying and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins, and automated testing tools such as Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows resource management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for remote collaboration across distributed teams.
• Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to speak up confidently in technical discussions.
