This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Program Manager (PM) in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex programs that integrate technical, operational, and financial objectives across software development and defense-related systems. The Program Manager will oversee the full program lifecycle, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations. The position requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders, including government personnel, technical teams, and subcontractors, to achieve mission objectives. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background in C5ISR systems, Agile methodologies, and risk management, capable of coordinating international efforts while maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.

Accountabilities

As Program Manager, you will:

  • Lead all aspects of program lifecycle management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Coordinate sustainment and modernization of C2SET systems, including software, models, algorithms, and interfaces.
  • Provide guidance to technical teams, ensuring adherence to Agile development practices and DevSecOps standards.
  • Oversee program budgets, resource allocation, and cost management to maintain financial efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, cybersecurity directives, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between government PMs, technical teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, implementing resolution strategies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and deliver program status reports, metrics, and other required deliverables.
  • Coordinate user training, fielding, and operational support, including occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel.

Candidates should have:

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years as a product or program manager for software development teams.
  • Proven expertise in C5ISR Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and software development.
  • Familiarity with joint operational training commitments and software sustainment practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Security+ CE or Linux+ (preferred but not mandatory).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills to manage complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in managing operational, technical, and financial aspects of large-scale programs.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interface with government personnel, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to support international travel and operational training exercises when required.
