Accountabilities

As an Engineering Manager - Transmission, you will:

• Manage a team of power system engineers performing transmission studies and related projects.
• Oversee project execution to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.
• Interact with clients to understand project scope, address concerns, and maintain strong relationships.
• Direct technical analyses, including steady state, transient stability, short circuit, and EMT studies.
• Lead development and review of transmission study methodologies, modeling efforts, and system upgrade recommendations.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to optimize team efficiency and deliverable quality.
• Support business development activities, including RFP responses and project scoping.
• Mentor and develop engineers within the team, fostering technical growth and collaboration.

Candidates should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Power Systems; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electric energy industry, performing power system studies and design analyses.
• Proficiency with industry-standard software such as PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, TARA, ASPEN, CAPE, or PSCAD.
• Experience managing a team of 2–10 engineers, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to balance technical responsibilities with team development, client engagement, and process improvement.
