Director, Virtual Clinical Operations (Remote)

As Director of Virtual Clinical Operations, you will lead and optimize high-performing virtual clinical teams, ensuring the effective delivery of impactful patient care programs. Acting as a strategic and operational leader, you will drive performance across virtual networks while aligning operations with client goals, compliance standards, and internal quality benchmarks. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners, oversee staffing strategies, and spearhead initiatives that foster innovation, scalability, and measurable outcomes. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of virtual clinical education and support in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership and support to Virtual Clinical Managers and Educators to ensure high-quality execution, time management, and compliance.
  • Foster a culture of adaptability, diversity, and transformation by driving innovation, team engagement, and the adoption of virtual operations strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Client Solutions, Training, Analytics, and Compliance to align programs with client expectations and regulatory frameworks.
  • Oversee operational excellence by implementing standardized processes, auditing quality standards, and ensuring optimal use of digital tools (Genesys, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Manage resource allocation, financial performance, and staffing strategies to meet evolving client and patient demand.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with client virtual leadership teams, translating client objectives into actionable strategies.
  • Monitor KPIs, develop measurable objectives, and continuously assess program performance through dashboards and reporting tools like PowerBI.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Director role and 3+ years in virtual pharmaceutical operations.
  • Current and unrestricted RN or NP license.
  • Proven success in leading virtual teams, launching new programs, and managing inbound/outbound virtual support functions.
  • Strong clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge, including medication compliance and patient/HCP support strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop leadership teams, manage change, and optimize virtual operations.
  • Technically proficient in telephony systems, Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, and analytics tools.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced, client-driven environments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
  • Competitive base compensation between USD 20 - 30/hour
