Director of Portfolio & Product Management

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Portfolio & Product Management in the United States.

This role is designed for an experienced leader in product and portfolio management, responsible for shaping the strategy and roadmap of high-impact medical devices and software solutions. You will analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and guide product development. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including R&D, sales, and marketing—you will drive new product introductions and enhance existing offerings. The position combines strategic oversight with technical expertise, allowing you to influence product design, market positioning, and lifecycle management. You will also partner with external stakeholders and industry leaders to inform innovation and expansion initiatives. This role provides the opportunity to lead portfolio strategy, optimize product performance, and contribute directly to meaningful healthcare outcomes.


  • Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the product portfolio, aligning with business objectives and market needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Define product roadmaps, collaborate on clinical trial design, and ensure alignment between evidence generation and commercial strategy.
  • Lead new product introduction efforts, evaluating business cases, pricing strategies, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams—including engineering, manufacturing, sales, and marketing—to ensure product success.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with industry societies, research organizations, and key customers to inform product innovation.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, financial metrics, and ROI analyses to guide investment and prioritization decisions.
  • Present recommendations, market insights, and portfolio updates to senior leadership.

  • Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in portfolio or product management, with at least 7 years in management or leadership roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Expertise in market analysis, product lifecycle management, and competitive positioning in medical technology or related fields.
  • Strong decision-making, judgment, and problem-solving skills for complex, multi-dimensional challenges.
  • Proficient in business tools such as Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HCM or ERP platforms preferred.
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders effectively and influence product and business strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate broad business goals into actionable product plans and measurable outcomes.
