We are seeking a Director of Corporate Development to lead high-impact strategic initiatives and accelerate growth opportunities across partnerships, embedded finance, and M&A activities. This role works closely with executive leadership to shape the company’s long-term platform strategy, influence financial decisions, and bring structure to complex, early-stage opportunities. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution, balancing analytical rigor with creative problem-solving. You will drive initiatives that unlock new revenue streams, optimize business models, and directly contribute to organizational growth. This role requires cross-functional collaboration across product, finance, GTM, and legal teams, providing both strategic guidance and hands-on leadership in shaping the company’s future.

Accountabilities

  • Partner with the CFO to source, evaluate, and execute strategic acquisitions aligned with long-term company goals.
  • Conduct market research and opportunity assessments to inform forward-looking growth planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of high-potential initiatives, defining clear milestones and success metrics.
  • Lead due diligence, integration planning, and business case development, including ROI models and risk assessments.
  • Drive embedded finance initiatives, collaborating with product leadership on payments, contractor insurance, and financing solutions.
  • Structure, negotiate, and close high-impact external partnerships, particularly those with innovative or non-traditional revenue models.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic partner to leadership teams, contributing insights on market trends, competitive strategies, and monetization opportunities.
  • Communicate priorities, progress, and outcomes effectively to executive stakeholders.
  • 6–10 years of experience in corporate development, strategic finance, partnerships, or business operations.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with executive-level exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, SaaS metrics, and business model design.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize initiatives, balance strategic thinking with execution, and work across product, GTM, legal, and finance teams.
  • High-ownership mindset, low ego, with a focus on learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to bring fresh ideas to complex challenges.
  • Experience in SaaS or fintech environments, particularly embedded finance, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with payments infrastructure, insurance (GL/WC), and structuring complex deals is a plus.
  • Competitive base salary ($185,000–$205,000 USD/year, based on experience).
