The SDx business consists of multiple product / service lines across the diagnostics spectrum across services (e.g. Reference Labs services), medical devices (i.e. point of care diagnostics and imaging equipment) and consumer-facing products (i.e. At-Home diagnostics). SDx is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven Manager, Strategy to join our growing organization. In this role, he or she is responsible for driving high priority initiatives and providing strong analytics to support the value creation & strategic goals of the company. This includes strategy development & execution, competitive intelligence, and analytics and insights to support various teams across the division.

This role will work closely with key cross-functional teams and Mars Science & Diagnostics senior leadership to drive decision-making and enable choices and actions that deliver on the company’s objectives. The Strategy Manager will also serve as a key thought-partner to the Associate Director of Strategy on a variety of strategy-related topics.

This is a Hybrid role located in our New York City hub. The Target Pay Range for this position is $105,840 - $132,360 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Strategic planning & development: Support Associate Director of Strategy in strategic planning, including the development of annual value creation plans for our division

• Competitive intelligence: Lead competitive intelligence and conduct deep-dive analyses into industry trends and competitive dynamics across the industry; provide coverage of earnings releases and competitive developments

• Strategic analytics & insights: Lead deep dive analysis across high priority strategic questions to inform key decisions, partnering with cross-functional teams and leadership

• Business case modeling: Support investment case development for new opportunities and external partnerships in partnership with the Business Development team, including market sizing and financial forecasting to inform size of prize, investment returns, and prioritization across initiatives

• KPI tracking: Support the periodic tracking of KPIs aligned to the company’s objectives, goals, and strategies to inform better decision making for the organization

• Special projects: Support VP of Strategy & the SDx Leadership team on special Strategy projects (e.g., evaluation of ecosystem opportunities) and provide analytics support where required

• Facilitation of workshops: Support preparation of Senior Leadership Team presentations and workshops
   

Education and Experience

• Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years of experience in management consulting and / or strategy development & execution
     

• Preferred qualifications:

  • Finance or business degree

  • Experience with financial modeling, valuation, and investment case development

  • Experience with managing enterprise-wide cross-functional initiatives and change management

• Problem Solving – Ability to assess a broad range of solutions and effective at developing structured approaches to problems and adapt to changing contexts

• Organizational Agility – Can navigate matrixed organization & cross-functional teams effectively

• Financial Acumen – Strong understanding of financial performance drivers along the P&L, cashflow statement, and balance sheet

• Standing Alone – Reliable with a strong sense of personal responsibility 

• Dealing with Ambiguity – Comfort with diving into ambiguous situations to understand key issues and structure a clear path forward

• Communication Skills – Strong written, oral and visual (PPT) communication skills
