Director, Content Strategy (Remote - US)

As the Director of Content Strategy, you will lead the creation and execution of a high-impact, customer-focused content program that drives engagement, brand awareness, and business growth. You will oversee a team of content strategists, define the long-term vision for content, and ensure alignment with marketing and go-to-market initiatives. This role blends strategic leadership, creativity, and operational excellence, requiring a strong storyteller who can scale content across multiple formats, optimize performance through analytics, and leverage AI tools. You will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, design, and product teams to elevate content quality and deliver measurable results in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with audience needs, business objectives, and brand positioning.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of content strategists, providing daily guidance, feedback, and coaching to elevate team performance.
  • Oversee content development across multiple channels including web, email, social, video, and print.
  • Drive expansion into multimedia and interactive content formats to enhance storytelling and engagement.
  • Establish editorial standards, maintain content calendars, and optimize processes to deliver high-quality, on-time content.
  • Monitor content performance, implement SEO/AEO best practices, and leverage AI tools to enhance production and personalization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure content supports strategic initiatives and consistently reflects brand voice and solution value.
  • 10+ years of experience in content marketing, with significant expertise in content strategy and storytelling.
  • Proven leadership experience managing content teams and delivering customer-centric content that drives measurable outcomes.
  • Deep knowledge of writing, editing, messaging, and content development across multiple platforms and formats.
  • Strong background in integrated marketing strategy and campaign planning.
  • Experience in fintech, legal tech, accounting tech, or similar regulated industries.
  • Proficiency with analytics and marketing tools such as GA4, Tableau, Salesforce, CMS platforms, and video content tools.
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI tools for content strategy and creation.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to Austin, TX, or San Diego, CA.
