This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and document audiovisual and building technology designs within a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment. The Designer will work closely with senior staff to learn the design process, create Revit and AutoCAD models, assist with technical documentation, and support site inspections. This position emphasizes mentorship and hands-on learning, providing exposure to multiple disciplines and the chance to grow expertise in audiovisual systems. The individual will contribute to project success, maintain organized workflows, and actively participate in team discussions to enhance internal documentation and processes. This is ideal for a mid-level professional looking to expand technical skills while supporting complex building technology projects.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will:

• Prepare Revit models and AutoCAD drawings to support audiovisual and building systems design.
• Assist in developing specifications, design calculations, and technical documentation.
• Support senior staff during site inspections and evaluate existing conditions.
• Participate in client meetings and document decisions, discussions, and project requirements.
• Maintain and update team workflows, internal documentation, and best practices.
• Contribute to team discussions, process improvements, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of timesheets, expense reports, and project tasks.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Construction industry experience or equivalent project exposure is a plus.
• Proficiency with Autodesk tools (Revit, AutoCAD) and Bluebeam Studio is preferred.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and support senior staff.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, G Suite, and other project management tools.
• EIT or CDT certification is a plus.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to learning and professional growth.

This position offers:

• Salary range: $85,000–$110,000 USD annually (depending on experience and expertise).
