This role is a hands-on contributor within a collaborative data engineering team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines to support scalable, reliable, and high-quality data solutions. You will work across internal teams including ETL, data warehouse, analytics, and business intelligence to ensure seamless integration and accessibility of data. The position involves troubleshooting data issues, monitoring pipeline performance, and implementing best practices for data quality and governance. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, contributing to their onboarding and professional growth. • Accountabilities:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Kafka, and other modern data engineering tools.
• Extract, cleanse, and integrate data from internal and external sources to ensure reliable data delivery.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data quality, pipeline performance, and data flow.
• Document and analyze new datasets, defining proper structure, integration, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and reporting teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Define and implement quality assurance rules, ensuring accurate and consistent data across systems.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical reviews to support Agile development practices.
• Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering with modern data architectures and production-grade pipelines.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL (including window functions, complex joins, pivots, and date/time calculations).
• Proficiency in Python and experience writing reusable, production-ready code.
• Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and data transformation for integration into relational structures.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS Lambda, AWS Console, and version control tools like Git.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational data models and best practices for data architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
