Back End / Full Stack Software Engineer (Senior)

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end services and scalable web applications.
• Implement front-end user interfaces and enhance user experience where applicable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Research, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies to enhance existing systems.
• Assist in product releases, patches, and ongoing code maintenance.
• Participate actively in sprint planning, retrospectives, and transparent project tracking.

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong back-end focus.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Node.js.
• Experience with front-end technologies, including frameworks like React and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of back-end frameworks such as Node.js and Express.js and relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD, Kafka).
• Understanding of version control systems (Git) and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and experience with DevOps principles.
• Knowledge of security principles and software architecture.
• Prior experience in Risk, Underwriting, or Payments industries is a plus.
