Responsibilities
- Provide direct management and supervision of Acute Care APPs in collaboration with supervising physicians and nursing leadership
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance evaluations, and improvement plans to support APP growth and clinical excellence
- Create objectives and implement team goals aligned to organizational priorities
- Manage administrative duties including PTO, payroll accuracy, and documentation
- Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and training of APPs within the service line
- Lead and participate in multidisciplinary workgroups and committees at market/service-line level
- Maintain consistent cross-service-line communication, sharing progress and needs with leadership
- Collaborate with APP leaders to advance professional practice standards, education, and clinical initiatives
- Provide virtual acute care clinical coverage as needed for staffing shortages, increased patient volume, and occasional weekends/nights/holidays
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education
- PA-C or Nurse Practitioner with pediatrics focus
- Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) strongly desired
- Pediatric Acute Care certification (CPNP-AC) a plus
- Active state license in at least one of TX, FL, LA, MO, NC, or GA (or willingness to obtain additional state licenses)
- Active DEA registration or eligibility to apply
