IDEXX is hiring a Finance Manager for the Veterinary Software team, reporting to the Finance Director. The Finance Manager will develop strong relationships with senior leaders, partnering and guiding prioritization of high-return business initiatives. You will collaborate with global cross-functional teams, thrive on the opportunity to drive financial and process improvements, have strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and possess a high degree of accountability. As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for creating and reviewing operational reports, providing financial support and analytical insights to internal business partners and finance senior management, and playing a critical role in enabling the success of regional finance teams across the globe. You will manage a direct team that provides finance business partner support, execute monthly financial closing exercises, develop and update financial forecasts, collaborate with the business partners to create meaningful metrics, and standardize reporting across all the products within the VSS product lines.

This position is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week at Global Campus in Westbrook, ME.
What you will be doing:
Act as finance business partner to VSS leaders, partnering to develop plans to execute and manage strategic initiatives.
Develop KPIs with SaaS-based metrics, dashboards, productivity, and incentive compensation analysis to drive the business decision to meet strategic goals.
Complete monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reporting and analytics, ensuring that internal controls are in place and adhered to. Develop modeling for the annual strategic planning and budgeting exercises and quarterly financial forecast updates.
Develop and communicate processes and timelines that ensure deadlines are met and that deliverables are complete and accurate.
Consolidate and present global financial information to senior management. Develop regular updates of presentations for senior management and business partner review.
Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, and development-planning. Manage team activities, assign work, monitor activities, and evaluate performance.
Collaborate with regional finance teams to understand business drivers of financial outcomes, conducting recurring and ad hoc variance analysis relative to financial plans, and reporting on findings and actions to improve forecast accuracy.
Take current reporting and automate.
Partner across regions to advance processes, automating, consolidating, and standardizing as appropriate. Partner with business leaders and technical experts to develop and maintain expense dashboards.
Foster change, value diversity, challenge existing methods, and consider new ways to deliver insights into business operations.
Support ad hoc requests for analysis, reporting, and/or other duties as assigned.
What you will need to succeed:
Excellent customer service and business relationship-building skills. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, across levels within the organization.
Attention to detail, ability to organize, prioritize, and direct work activities. Able to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities.
Ability to grasp complex financial concepts, and translate and explain those concepts in basic non-financial terms.
Persistence in achieving short-term objectives, while maintaining sight of long-term priorities.
Confidence to make decisions in stressful situations and to partner to resolve conflict.
Strong Excel and systems (modeling).
Experience with Microsoft Office with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Salesforce and SAP experience are a plus.
Strongly preferred experience in the software industry with cloud-based software metrics.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or education.
