Skills
- Proven experience with AWS services for compute, networking, storage, and serverless
- Strong Python development and library/pattern design experience
- Kubernetes and container orchestration expertise
- Infrastructure as Code proficiency (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- CI/CD pipeline design and automation (Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitOps workflows)
- Observability tooling and instrumentation (Datadog, CloudWatch, logging, tracing)
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message systems
- Practical knowledge of production operations, incident response, and cost optimization
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS) for services including containers, serverless, and event-driven systems
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision reproducible environments
- Create and improve CI/CD pipelines and release automation using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and related tooling
- Implement observability and monitoring (CloudWatch, Datadog) to measure and optimize performance and availability
- Build platform libraries and patterns for Python applications (APIs, event processors) and promote reuse
- Manage environment lifecycle, configuration promotion, and cost-effective scaling
- Consult with product teams to design right abstractions and platform integrations
- Mentor engineers, shape platform standards for quality, security, scalability, and reliability
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Continued professional development in cloud and infrastructure technologies preferred
