Overview

The Salesforce Functional Lead is responsible for a team of Salesforce product owners on the design, implementation, and optimization of Salesforce solutions that support the customer journey, including prospecting, onboarding, CPQ, customer service, and marketing. You will also lead discovery workshops and implementations around new capabilities and related initiatives.

 

On a daily basis you can expect to discover and refine opportunities to support business needs through enhancements to our Salesforce platform.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs that align with Salesforce recommended practices supporting the go-to-market, customer service, and marketing teams to realize scalable and effective solutions
  • Work with teams to analyze and prioritize application requirements and create work breakdown deliverables to ensure we are working on the right things at the right time
  • Support and manage medium to large sized projects end to end, ensuring alignment and readiness across all key stakeholder groups
  • Clearly and regularly communicate status, expectations, and risks
  • Document information and designs through write-ups and diagrams so that what we design and share with the stakeholders is what gets delivered and realized
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of end user documents, training materials, and user demos
  • Act as a change champion to support solution relevance and adoption
  • Facilitate workshops, demos, and training sessions to ensure stakeholder alignment and user adoption
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and recommend enhancements to improve business outcomes
  • Act as level 3 Salesforce support as needed
  • Mentor a team of 3 Salesforce product owners on Salesforce system capabilities and recommended practices

Qualifications

  • 8 years' experience in Salesforce implementations, configurations, system design, system management, and/or related business experience
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party apps and systems
  • Demonstrated experience successfully designing and delivering quality, measurable solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, developers, architects, and product owners
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Excellent interviewing, listening, observational, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Certification in Salesforce (Admin, Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder)
  • Experience with third-party integrations and AppExchange solutions preferred
  • Functional understanding of Salesforce Flow, Apex, CPQ, Revenue Cloud, and Lightning Component preferred
  • Experience with Agile preferred
  • Experience with Gherkin preferred
