Senior Software Engineer – Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B)

Salary Range: $103,200 – $141,900/year + 15% annual bonus potential + benefits

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B), Java, and SQL to design, develop, and enhance mission-critical systems in the energy and utilities sector. This role will lead solution design and implementation efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software.

The position offers the opportunity to work on advanced digital products, including cryptocurrency, tokenized assets, and blockchain integrations, while maintaining core operational systems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements, analyze needs, and develop efficient, cost-effective solutions.
• Lead a team of engineers, mentoring and providing technical oversight.
• Design, develop, review, and test complex code and system architecture, including full-stack applications, integrations, and APIs.
• Implement best practices for version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Support architectural reviews and contribute to technology selection and standards.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, advising on adoption and integration strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 9–12 years of combined education and relevant experience, including at least 5–8 years in software development (Java, Groovy, SQL).
• Proven leadership in delivering complex software solutions and guiding small to medium-sized development teams.
• Advanced knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Solaris, or Linux) or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong grasp of programming concepts, data structures, algorithms, and full-stack development.
• Deep database expertise including stored procedures, triggers, and indexing strategies.
• Skilled in designing and implementing APIs.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in Oracle CC&B and Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
• Knowledge of Meter-to-Cash flows, particularly financial transactions, payments, adjustments, and credit/collections.
• Experience with CC&B batch processes, algorithms, OOTB functionality, configuration components (zones, portals, service scripts, business services, plug-in scripts).
• Familiarity with integration between CC&B and other enterprise systems.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus 3+ years of experience.
• Agile/Scrum and test-driven development experience, including automated testing frameworks.
• Proven ability to design conceptual data models, system architecture, and user interfaces.
• Experience building scalable, high-performance applications.

• Base salary: $103,200 – $141,900/year, based on experience and qualifications.
