Job Title: Instructional Designer

Location: Bensalem, PA 

Job Type: Full-Time - hybrid

Reports To: Director of Training Production

The instructional designer role is responsible for developing engaging and effective learning experiences for professionals in the hospitality industry. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs, design curriculum and instructional materials, and create interactive multimedia content. Utilize instructional design methodologies, e-learning, graphic design, and multimedia authoring tools to develop courses that enhance knowledge retention and skill acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Developing instructional objectives and assessments to evaluate content efficacy.
• Creating interactive media elements such as simulations, games, quizzes, and videos
• Integrating instructional design principles into all aspects of the learning experience
• Participating in quality assurance procedure for developed content and revising content as needed.
• Taking user feedback to improve learning programs
• Monitoring student engagement levels throughout the course
• Working with other key stakeholders to ensure training programs are meeting organizational goals and objectives
• Training others to deliver learning programs.
• Executing learning management system (LMS) tasks such as enrolling users, managing enrollment groups, and providing technical support and guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field highly preferred, extensive experience may substitute for degree.
• Proven experience in instructional design or e-learning development.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, theories, and methodologies.
• Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate is highly preferred.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud’s suite of graphic and video authoring tools.

Requirements & Skills:

• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences.
• Experience working with learning management systems (LMS), SCORM 1.2, and xAPI standards.
• Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated on instructional design trends and technologies.
