About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Lead to own one of the most high-leverage growth systems at Handshake: a fully automated engine that identifies high-quality talent across the internet, enriches their profiles, and drives personalized outreach and onboarding at scale.
Your job is to turn the open web into a funnel, building a powerful combination of scraping, enrichment, LLMs, and automated UX flows to attract and convert niche experts into the Handshake AI network. First up: lawyers.
As a Product Lead at Handshake, you will take direct ownership of product strategy and execution for a key area of Handshake's business. You’ll lead initiatives that align with the company’s highest priorities, while working cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders across the organization. Product leaders in this role will influence beyond their immediate team and deliver outcomes that drive impact at the organizational and company-wide level.
What You’ll Do
You’ll lead product development for a dynamic, AI-driven growth engine:
Discover and enrich expert profiles at scale
Automatically scrape and source expert profiles by geography, profession, age, etc.
Enrich these profiles using public and semi-public data: socials, publications, digital breadcrumbs.
Structure the data using LLMs to make it usable for outreach and onboarding.
Personalize outreach with context-rich messaging
Dynamically generate outbound messages tailored to each expert’s profile.
Match tone and content style to what will most likely resonate with the individual.
Use Handshake’s existing network to warm up cold outreach: referral prompts, mutual contact mentions, etc.
Funnel into personalized onboarding flows
Build onboarding experiences that adapt to each person: landing pages, interview paths, CTAs.
Optimize for conversion: whether it’s joining a data project, taking an AI interview, or exploring job opportunities.
Instrument and iterate
Rapidly experiment with new acquisition channels, templates, and conversion funnels.
Use data and LLM feedback loops to continuously improve enrichment quality and outreach efficacy.
What We’re Looking For
Founder or tool-builder mindset: fast-moving, scrappy, and outcome-oriented.
6+ years of product management experience with a strong bias toward experimentation, automation, and growth.
Technical chops, comfortable working closely with engineers or hacking together tools yourself.
Experience with scraping, enrichment, or outbound marketing tools (or willingness to get very fluent).
Deep product intuition paired with an experimental mindset: you know what to measure and what to try next.
Proven ability to drive 0→1 growth products or scale audience/community engagement at speed.
Bonus areas of expertise
Built or worked on a high-scale growth machine or lead gen system.
Sales tech or community platform background.
Hands-on experience with LLMs or AI-first user journeys.
Proven ability to lead and grow technical teams (5+ people including engineers).
Experience working with GTM teams to align messaging and onboarding.
Familiarity with gig work, legal tech, professional services, or B2B marketplaces.
Compensation range
$240-270K base
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
