We are excited to be launching a new Factory in Mesa, Arizona, a 270,000 square foot facility that will create 350 new jobs immediately. We are opening a new headquarters to support thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to serve naval production, and introducing a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems instead of individual parts.

The factories as a service team analyses our current customers production and supply chain challenges, builds data driven presentations, designs and scopes factories of the future, and assists the Federal and Strategic sales team in forming long term partnerships with the DOD, Primes and other manufacturers.

This specific team owns scoping, design, cost, schedule and technology analysis and proposals for major programs and manufacturing transformations across all manufacturing methods and domains.

With several major programs in flight, we are hiring rapidly for this team that will effectively analyze, design, scope, plan and handover (or join) execution of large scale manufacturing efforts.

The Role:

Senior Director – Factories as a Service Engineering

This role partners with Software leadership and owns the Scoping/Planning function for factories as a service – including analysis of current production performance onsite with customers, schedule and BOM analysis, manufacturing planning (ie: drawing by drawing CapEx analysis), labor planning, assist with site selection, and customer proposals/presentations in partnership with our sales teams.

This role will lead15-20 Individual Contributors (MEs, Supply Chain, Finance Analysts) who are subject matter experts in manufacturing domains (casting, machining, inspection, post-processing, welding, sheet metal, tube, forging, etc), and interface with software, facilities and program management to be able to take large scale projects from idea (after customers have engaged) to final, $100m-$1B proposals and the beginnings of execution / factory standup.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyse customer’s production and supply chain challenges and design/plan/scope factories of the future

  • Lead a team of manufacturing engineers and domain experts to synthesize complete solutions for customers

  • Deliver cost/schedule/solutions in partnership with our customers and Federal team

What We’re Looking For:

  • Director to VP level experience in Aerospace or Automotive production and supply chain leadership

  • Inherit knowledge and prior ownership of large scale product manufacturing or commodity manufacturing across multiple manufacturing and supply chain domains

  • Ability to rapidly identify root causes, build plans of attack, and translate the details of manufacturing to CEOs and Executives at customers

  • Risk-adjusted mindset; know where to bet, and know where to hedge

  • Ability to get in the weeds with your team when needed, and ability to delegate where relevant

  • Ability to travel onsite 30-40% of the time to customers for onsite analysis

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Software or automation experience is not required but helpful

  • Expierence Managing Managers

  • Experience Managing teams larger than 30
