Senior Product Manager, Safety Products

Greenlight is the leading family fintech company on a mission to help parents raise financially smart kids. We proudly serve more than 6 million parents and kids with our award-winning banking app for families. With Greenlight, parents can automate allowance, manage chores, set flexible spend controls, and invest for their family’s future. Kids and teens learn to earn, save, spend wisely, and invest.

At Greenlight, we believe every child should have the opportunity to become financially healthy and happy. It’s no small task, and that’s why we leap out of bed every morning to come to work. Because creating a better, brighter future for the next generation depends on it.

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Core Products team. Our Core Products team builds the foundation trusted by millions of parents and kids—everything from secure money management to proactive safety solutions. In this role, you’ll define and deliver initiatives that drive engagement, adoption, and retention across a range of digital, physical, and financial protection offerings—ensuring safety and peace of mind for the whole family.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone passionate about building innovative products in financial technology. You’ll be expected to develop strong opinions about Greenlight’s competitive positioning and lead us towards strategic opportunities that provide superior personal finance & family management solutions to families. You’re a great fit if you have a strong drive to solve and prioritize customer needs in a way that is viable for our core business. The ideal candidate will have experience with the entire product development lifecycle - learning quickly and iteratively through Product Discovery, and coordinating continuous delivery of value through an agile Product Delivery cycle.

Your day-to-day:
  • Understand User & Market Insights: Continuously assess competitor products and market trends, dive into internal consumer data, conduct and leverage user research, and juggle feedback from multiple stakeholders to gather evidence that informs your priorities and roadmap
  • Measure & Iterate - Identify your goals and metrics to drive prioritization and timely delivery of products and experiments. Develop a set of KPIs and reporting and analytics to monitor, and report product trends. Quickly iterate based on insights from your analysis to continuously improve upon your KPIs
  • Manage Cross Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Design, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Marketing, Finance and Customer Support to deliver products on time and budget. Regularly share progress, key insights, and blockers with stakeholders, including executive leadership, to ensure alignment, transparency, and support for the app experience roadmap
  • Lead - Own the business success of your product area and drive product initiatives from inception through execution, ensuring it aligns with Greenlight’s mission and user needs
  • Prioritize and Execute – Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and data teams to prioritize and ship impactful features
  • Stay Ahead of Trends – Keep up with best practices in location sharing & safety, UX, personalization, AI and fintech to ensure Greenlight’s app experience remains best-in-class

What you’ll bring to the team:
  • 6+ years of product management experience with a focus on consumer-facing products. Experience working with digital/hardware‑enabled safety products and/or location-based products is preferred (such as: location tracking, map interfaces, geofencing and or car trip monitoring)
  • You are fascinated by modern family safety products and innovations, and eager to find ways to apply new technologies to old problems, in a way that delights all members of the family
  • Proven track record of success in building and growing products and shipping end-to-end user experiences in fast-moving or ambiguous environments
  • Curiosity about consumer behavior and desire to learn about those behaviors from talking to customers, gathering data, and using other resources to develop a hypothesis and validate it. Experience running user-facing UI A/B testing and working with experimentation platforms preferred
  • Highly analytical, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative data to identify behavioral insights
  • Highly collaborative and capable of managing large, complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders. You thrive in environments where you must bring different disciplines and points of view together and balance competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to align stakeholders on the goals and behaviors required for success
  • Creative and effective problem solving skills. You act. You know how to make things happen and figure out workarounds when the team hits roadblocks. You anticipate and plan for potential major problems
  • Ownership mentality and have a high level of accountability. You identify opportunities for improvement across product, process, communication and take the lead on implementing improvement

Work perks at Greenlight:
