Qualifications: Preferred qualifications are at least 3 years of payroll processing experience and a GED or high school diploma.

Job Purpose
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for assisting the Payroll Supervisor in the preparation of payroll and all related reporting. This position will work closely with the employees to maintain their payroll records and help resolve discrepancies. Therefore, the Payroll Specialist must exhibit a high level of customer service. The Payroll Specialist will also work closely with the Human Resource department on compliance issues.
Great Minds utilizes Dayforce for processing bi-weekly, multi-state payroll of 900+ employees. This position operates in a fast paced, diverse, and hands-on environment. The Payroll Specialist must be able to adapt quickly to meet the changing needs of both the organization, as well as state and federal payroll/tax changes. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment.

The expected base salary range for this position is $62,000-$69,000, however the offered salarymay be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations. The base salary is not inclusive of benefits or other incentives.
