Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and technical leadership for the Platform Security team, aligning work with business and security leadership.
- Create and maintain a Platform Security roadmap that balances capability maturity with automation to reduce toil.
- Hire, mentor, and scale the team; create hiring plans and foster professional growth.
- Partner with engineering teams to design secure-by-design architectures and deliver self-service, low-friction security solutions.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines to meet GRC and audit requirements.
- Define and track program KPIs to measure security outcomes and inform strategic decisions.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships and lead build vs. buy evaluations.
- Communicate security trade-offs and pragmatic recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS certs) are a plus
