We are seeking a Lead Estimator to join our team supporting Fluor on their Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project! This position is full-time and will be based out of Aiken, SC.
Responsibilities
Review source data including engineering documents Work with Volume III Lead to develop estimating plan and handbook.
Identify scope of work areas that require subcontract support or specially engineered equipment, and work with Supply Chain to write specifications and obtain pricing.
Identify scope of work areas that require subject matter expertise, and work with Proposal Manager to identify appropriate SMEs.
Select appropriate estimate methodologies.
Oversee development of detailed estimates.
Participate in review process and ensure comments and feedback are implemented.
Requirements
Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree in and 20+ years of experience in engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, project controls, proposal development, and/or project management, extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
Experience in engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, project controls, proposal development, and/or project management.
Experience developing multi-billion-dollar cost estimates.
Specific experience leading cost estimates for heavy industrial (e.g., chemical processing, oil and gas) and/or nuclear facilities.
