Skills
- Experience building AI/agentic automation and LLM-driven systems
- Experience with workflow orchestration platforms (e.g., Temporal, Amazon SWF)
- Backend development proficiency in Golang or Python
- Distributed systems and system design focused on reliability and performance
- API design and maintenance for internal and external services
- Event-driven systems experience (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
- Experience with relational (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases
- Experience building tools and automation that support multiple disciplines
- Comfort using AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor
Responsibilities
- Design and drive architecture for agentic AI and automation systems with extensibility and observability in mind.
- Own foundational backend systems that power internal tools and automation; define roadmaps and reliability targets.
- Deliver projects end-to-end with clear milestones, risk management, and measurable outcomes.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Operations to translate complex workflows into scalable automation.
- Mentor engineers through design and code reviews, raising technical standards and best practices.
- Use AI code-generation and LLMs responsibly to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality and test coverage.
- Advocate for strategic, high-impact solutions and align team objectives with company priorities.
- Contribute to an inclusive, growth-focused engineering culture and help scale team practices.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or a related field (required)
- Advanced degrees a plus but not required
